Anixter

Tim Munro from Anixter presented a step-by-step lab that took attendees through the process of reading and writing to and from different PLC protocols, creating a “Virtual” HMI Web page, data logging, and remote alarming.  Lab participants used products from Red Lion Controls, Hirschmann, and Corning Cable systems to discover just how simple these perceived complex tasks can be accomplished.

In the second half of the lab, Fluke Networks demonstrated how to define the capacity of your Industrial Network and determine if you are at risk of a multicast storm.  These are questions that can be answered using simple methodology and the right tools.  This live demonstration feature use of the EtherScope™  Network test module from Fluke Networks to diagnose and pinpoint potential network threats on an Industrial Ethernet network
